Urufigure Comic 1 - I wonder...
****************************************************************
I wonder...
1 - why are there so many giants and so few titans?
2 - why do the mighty amongst them not go beyond their ken?
3 - are they content, even happy with being gods of their own little world?
4 - are they simply ignorant of their prowess or are other factors bringing them low?
****************************************************************
I've been meaning to do my own sort of personal opinion comics for a while but I have not had a fixed style in mind before, though I have figured one out thanks to another project. :P Urufigures. Well probably more like "tribal" figures.
I often wonder why so many of the big shot, or just generally big muscle and/or macro artists do so little with their medium? Or fetish if you want to say it that way.
Sure they can draw them brawny or even huge (macro) but, really there is nothing intrinsically new or exciting about them because they are honestly just plays on scale.
Of course there are those who do push the boundaries of their art but often such explorations stop beyond a certain point.
Frankly I think I have heard almost every excuse (or lie) know to man for this behavior "my art has improved, I want to be realistic, its not really my taste (anymore), I've outgrown it [don't make me laugh you haven't grown in the first place!], its silly, I am just not good enough, etc."
Now I think I may upset or annoy a number of folks (especially the artist) who hold to these self-inhibiting notions.
Your talents can be so much more then just a photo copier, you can dream you can create, you can conceive wonders that would make me cry yet you don't. You disappoint not just me but yourself and all that wasted potential that promise is squandered for all time if you do not take action.

Well you know me Uru since our long past times playing together. Simply why i cannot just "let" myself go loose or we all know what comes with it. I apply that to my stories whenever i write about the demi-god version of myself. perhaps its the same with the other artists. They are simply working within their own applied limits and comforts. Not all macros like being "Supreme Godly Overlord of The Cosmos" I can name a few who prefer simple macro works and such. Its sorta why i respect Dna so much. He literally pushes the boundaries.
Also the Urufigures hahaha i like them. They are sorta cute but do bring out the story nicely.

I think I am literally the most underpowered of you all. Though that was not my intended point, rather then the "Infinity +1" (which for the sake of any who does not know math in the audience always equals -1) scenario. No rather I am specifically talking about work like DNApalmheads. Where he does push the envelop on macro. Though not muscle or the growth of an individual character, not of scale but of nature of the body. I have seen some inclination to that twice, in the Free Lunch'verse. I get why he does not do it in comics, because really complex figures take A LONG TIME TO DRAW.
Though honestly I now hope he doesn't block me or anything. XD Not that I ever thing I'd get to talk to him. >> No matter how much I'd like to. ._. Though frankly what would I say?

yay! *flexes his broad muscle*
I know im not an artist of any sorts, having kinda given up on anyone helping me to develop..
But it Is kind of sad sometimes to see people reach a peak and slowly decline sometimes, especially when you put so much faith into them.
Before I got into muscle and other fetishes, I used to be very big on xray's art, love it to death. Though sadly he kind of began to whore himself out, selling his comics only to those who paid for them and most of his art began exclusive to other sites or to art booklets.
I wouldn't have minded paying for them, god knows how many comics I own From furious (gotta love meatier showers!) but it was just his art kinda of reached a peak and suddenly...stayed there? no more testing new ideas? new characters? it was all the same thing.
So what im saying is more or less I think I understand what Uru is saying:
-People cant reach a peak and just give up
-always work to develop your skills better, you have so much potential, it shouldn't be squandered
-a medium is just that, a medium. You can put anything you think of on a piece of paper, and from there into someone's dreams or mind. Medium is a way through whch an artist can tell a story, show an opinion or in this case, express a strong thought. It's potential is limitless and as long as you put it to use anything can be made.
Sorry if I bable or this doesn't make sense, but that's just kinda how I interpreted it c:
Now give me snuggles! im not huge but I love huge hugs!
