Bunnian's magic its drastically different form the elemental magic other Novans use, while its considered an earth elemental magic it works quite different form the magic Treefolk or Serpents use its also divided in two branches, one its used mainly by the male bunnians and the other its mostly use by female bunnians although its not gender specific its kind of a tradition. First we will talk about the branch known as MATERIOMANCY or MACHINANIMAE that is mostly practiced by the males, this magic works by linking the caster soul with objects around him allowing him to use them as extensions of its body, Bunnian Engineers usually use this magic to a lower degree to operate their tools or at a higher degree when piloting their well know Steam Powered Armors, with the ability to manipulate materials in such way they can perform incredible technological feats but such power also comes at a risk, projecting one soul into machine turns the machine into a partial vessel for the soul, any damage to the machine will incur into partial damage to the soul this could have repercussions to the original vessel of the soul, there is also the danger of part of the soul or the complete soul to be trapped on the machinery such event have lead to partially animated machines or steam armors or individual souls getting trapped into machines and losing their sanity as their soul find its new vessel incompatible, because of such dangers on the use of MATERIOMANCY the High School of Engineers its on constant vigilance and regulating the use of such magic to avoid any disastrous events, of course not even the most vigilant of organizations can keep and eye on everyone or everywhere, that's why around Novan there are those who are willing to push the limits of this magic blurring the lines between the soul and its vessel, after all if a machine can be modified if the body can be modified then perhaps the soul can be modified too . . .
