My half of an art trade with  shirei-demon. ^_^

These are the two main characters to an RP Shirei and I are doing.
The snow leopard is her character, Valarie Volcheris, the first female knight in her kingdom (and the known world more than likely. XD ) to her side is my character Arone Silvestar, a unicorn and travelling healer for her Order.

Ever since they met, Valarie's been protecting Arone, as she isn't much of a fighter. Hence the title for the picture. I think it turned out well although originally I wanted Valarie's hand on the handle of her sword but it didn't look right so I decided to have her just reaching for it. I wanted the picture to be dark and foreboding, hence the heavy storm clouds and grey sky with a wind whipping their cloaks and hair.

All hand colored with Prismacolor color pencils, inked in micron pens.
