I was watching a lot of Woody Woodpecker around the time that I drew this, and watching a lot of said Woody Woodpecker naturally meant that I had to draw him. P=
I tried to stay “on model” to what he looked like during the 50s and 60s. Woody Woodpecker cartoons from that era seem to be the bulk of what I’m familiar with, as those were the ones that were shown on The Woody Woodpecker Show ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxII9y9S3bw ), which would play on local TV before I had to go to school in the morning when I was little.
Ya know… you don’t really see old theatrical cartoons on TV much anymore, do ya?
