So, I've seen several, SEVERAL pictures all over the internet depicting the meeting of TMNT and SMB similar to the first panel, where the TMNT are avenging all the "innocent turtles" that the Mario Bros. have stomped on.
The thing is... Koopa Troopas aren't innocent turtles minding their own business. They're troops who work for Bowser, an evil demonic tyrant of a turtle. The TMNT wouldn't simply be on the side of the Koopa just because they're "fellow turtles". The TMNT are on the side of good, regardless of species. Let's not forget that Tokka and Slash, two enemies of the TMNT, are turtles themselves.
So, ya, I basically just whipped this up as a response the all the many pictures I see of the TMNT getting ready to beat up the SMB for stomping on Koopas. Because, outside of a misunderstanding or some kind of set-up by Bowser, I don't see that happening. Not to mention that Mario and Luigi wouldn't exactly be pushovers, either, since there's a good reason they're often called the SUPER Mario Bros., afterall.
Also, forgive any crappiness in my artwork here, as when I was drawing this I was trying to get it done quickly, and I was also suffering from a terrible cold and fever. I think if I were to try to redo this, I could do a better job, but... eh, no sense in that. I must look onwards toward the future!
