There we go! Asked a friend of mine to do the scanning, he's much more apt with that sort of thing. The scan retains much more of the graytones I have in the drawing.
As said, it's been a while, and this sucker, even though it was supposed to be a quick drawing, turned out to be more. I've been chewing a long time on the ceiling mosaic and its spacing, some setbacks involving water and whether I'd use soft shading or hard shading. I settled for both. I'd say it came out quite right.
So anyway, this is my mascot character Banzai's current design and new career: proprietor of the "Sweet Autumn Taste" eating-house. Her foods are usually mild, in keeping with the season in the name of the house, but every once in a while, someone orders something with a little more sting to the taste, and she's can deliver the 'sting' when she needs to, both in the food, and in her personality.
