This was the first set of Mage Armour that I made for a client attending Profound Decisions' 'Empire' LARP game early in 2013. This set consised of a torso piece, two circlets, shoulders, arms and a hero belt, all hand-dyed in a black to green fade and made from real leather.
I adore this set, and though it's needed a bit of maintenance since (as it was a trial run of a new design, these things happen) I still adore it. The half-crested stag on the hero belt was tooled by hand, as were all the 'rune' decorations visible on the armour. For comfort and style the arm pieces were lined with real rabbit fur (client request) though I do have fake fur which is just as nice.
All my fur comes to me as a by-product of the meat industry from respectable suppliers (usually House De Clifford but their site appears to be broken).
