An so the crying begins again....he was one of the first artists I ever saw drawing draggies. He is one who got me into the fandom in the first place. A great influence, even though he never knew me. I respect him greatly! Thank you Athus for the years of memories and for getting me where I needed to be to meet my mate. Be is wonderful, and I would have never met him if it were not for your art Athus. May your wings lift you ever higher, brother dragon, upon the winds of good fortune so that you may be taken to a better place where your dreams may come true, as mine have. Thank you!
it is impressive how people, even though you never met them, still have an influence on people after such a "long" time. I mean itis one thing for related people to not forget their beloved, but when mere strangers keep you in mind for so long, you truly left an impact on the world... even I, who never spoke asingle word to him, have his work in mind every now and then.
I can just say that with this, like many other works I found, you truly found a way to honor his legacy

i barely knew him either, but, how he explained about otherkin, and how he is a dragonkin made me understand and awaken
you know, my game project is still long until i can make it, your work inspired me to make an animation, that, i can do, time to take out my flash skills for an animation in homage for Athus

Its okay, they help me. Thank you for this wonderful tribute <3 I have his favorite badge (the picture Narse drew that you posted at the end) tattooed on my right calf... Sometimes I catch a glympse and cry, but most the time I am just thankful to have had a friend as amazing as him.
This... This is fitting for someone like Athus... He has inspired me as well, I am learning 3D slowly, teaching myself to draw as well. Hoping one by I can be as good as you are. You are an inspiration to me as well. I'm hoping soon I will have a PC that I can fully use just for 3D and art.. This image is perfect for him.
I don't know for what i cried the most: the video, the pic, or the sonata. You'd better to not get your ass here in France my friend, cuz i will hug you to death ^^. You know I watch you
for a long time, and i can see how you improved and evolved through time, and i'm even sure Athus saw it, nevermind where he is. After him, Narse, you're among the few ppl who continue to inspire me. You made something strong here, very.He would be proud of what you've done for him. Stay as you are bud, you're on the top now *glomps at LE Evalion, and use a hugs spam attack*.
In the memory of the guy who kicked my ass and convinced to continue to write. Thanks Bryan, i'll never forget your words, never.

Bah! I was fine up till that last part when you showed the shout from him. Then the waterworks started going. :P Damn blurry screen. It's sad when a genuinely good person is taken too soon. But seriously what I enjoyed most about this wasn't just the simple pic paying tribute to him but rather the journey in it's creation. It may not quite be like a tutorial either but one paying mind to the steps can get a general idea of the kind of work that can go into a project. I kinda feel bad I still have yet to finish my tribute to him I sketched up and has just been sitting in a sketchbook waiting to be finished. Maybe it's time I knuckle down and finish...
Thank you for sharing this with us. :)

Now i feel just horrible all over because I didn't get to meet the guy, once. Hm, well It's best not to dwell on ghosts, right? I mean, I explore shells, where people used to be long ago, I'm pretty sure I can handle it :P
Though, this is really a beautiful thing, and you should be proud you made it this far. I can't say I know many people who would do something like this, and I'm pretty honored to have gotten to know you, even as little as I do, I still couldn't be happier.

I didn't know the guy at all either, only through a couple of notes, but this year he really inspired me from what he left behind, so I had to dwell. One half of me was depressed and the other was so happy and so powerfully motivated, now I can only be so happy that this is finished and hopefully do what was intended, inspire people c:
This resonated so very strongly with me, in particular the beautiful composition. I'll be carrying that with me on my MP3 player wherever I go...always sure to bring a smile, peace, and inspiration. Thank you so much for this, it struck a powerful chord and brought back so many wonderful memories. Through others, we live on. <3 Forever inspired, forever remembered.
Watching the video, I couldn't hold my tears back. We all miss him, it's truly great to see something like this made to honor him. You are extremely talented and I think you will make a big impact in this world for sure. Thank you for sharing this wonderful, wonderful thing with all of us. I don't really know you personally, but there is no doubt in my mind, you are a fantastic person.
I am so proud of you for finishing this, Evalion. I admire the immense amount of work you put in, the emotion behind the brush strokes, and seeing it all come to fruition has been gratifying.
The music is beautiful. I wish I could compose like you. I'm sure it must have been very cathartic to finish this incredibly huge project and I hope it only energizes you for more to come.

Ah, now I know why you fascinate me so much: You combine multiple talents. I have seen a lot of stuff called art in the last 10 years, but someone like you, who combines his own music, pictures and skills in editing videos into such a marvellous piece like this one deserves the title artist in every way. Well, I think that this submission is just genuine beautiful and as many others here it seems, I did not know very much about Athus, but you certainly brought him closer to everybody.
Truly well done.
Truly well done.
Athus is a peculiar fella. Not many of us would be mourned with piano sonatas and formal elegies, but…
In spite of this, I think this would sound amazing covered by Albannach.
The weird thoughts that come to you while your mind wanders after midnight.

I was lucky enough to meet him and play some games with him on Steam. Even as a noob in the fandom he was open to making friends with me. I was honored to know him briefly and I will keep close the lessons he taught me. No matter how big you get or how popular you are, make time for the little people. You hold the power to inspire. Thank you Athus.
That video left me astonished to tears. I am saddened that I never got to know him. If I had known what I was missing, as well as what awaited, perhaps I wouldn't have been as cowardly as to not share a few nice words with him. Now I look up to those like you who express these feelings. I find myself in them, and realize how many others have funneled our gratitude and inspiration into memorial works. I hope one day to add my own tribute. Whatever it will be, it will have to be made by myself. The picture masks the emotions behind it, and I'm sure even the video itself masks the true emotions of the entire community. No works could ever express the weight. But for what they're worth, these fragments are still enough to shake me to tears. What you have made is beautiful.
I too will remember him, and dare to dream.
