dude how did you do the lighting effect?

Well it was done in oC, using multiple layers that were set to "Addition". The rays of light were done using the magnetic selection tool to select the area of the ray, followed by the gradient tool to recreate falloff. I did three layers of these so some rays would stack onto others. Highlights and 'bloom' were done on another layer with the airbrush tool and lots of bright colours.
