I know! I think grayscale has that charm of "color" but simplicity of "B&W"...which is why I think so many manga artists still do their stuff in grayscale. I have hand-screentoned some pieces myself (which is really very difficult! *laughs*), so I have lots of appreciation for the work some artists really put into grayscale works!
It's a very classic manga about a baby Unicorn trying to find his family and makes many friends along the way. I know when they translated it in the U.S., they put it in a single volume (like 500 pages) and in full color, which they rarely do here. Even colored manga usually gets grayscale printed most of the time here. "Unico" was very pricey ($35 USD), but I'm glad I bought it because it's a very cute and classic manga.
Could be! *laughs* The artist, Osamu Tezuka, is most well known for "Tetsuwan Atom"...commonly translated as "Astro Boy". But he's got a wide variety of series for all ages and all genders...ranging from the sci-fi story "Phoenix" to the "Kimba the White Lion" manga (of which it's always said Disney ripped it off for "The Lion King"). I've seen the anime for "Phoenix" and it's rather bittersweet for the romance...recently I read Tezuka's "Princess Knight" about a girl raised by a boy, because only males could take the throne.

Never was a fan of sci-fi, im more into adventure and magic related story. Which my favorite manga serie is Fullmetal alchemist ^w^.

(I like romance manga too...it's why I read a lot of yaoi. Shoujo manga isn't as romantic anymore.)
I like a lot of genres, so I'll read almost anything. And, yep...my Canadian pen-pal just sent me a letter that I got this week. We've been writing to each other for almost 10 years now. She's a super-great anime-style artist...I have art she's given me of characters from "Dragon Knights" <--my fave fantasy manga ever.

That's true...but there are some yaoi artists who always have romantic tones in whatever series they do.
I know there are times where I've picked up a manga that I thought I'd like ("Fushigi Yūgi"), but really didn't like at all. (Friends get mad at me because I don't like FY and it's a mega-popular series, too... *laughs*)
