LOOK at this photo at full size closely on right side and you can see dead pixels due to playing with the laser with the camera on long exposure shots, this was taken years ago before I knew lasers could cause harm to my image sensor.

Well, lasers can hurt your eyes so I suppose it makes sense that they can hurt your sensor as well :P
