This time my Ridgeback, Hallow.

He's always extremely anxious, and he picks at his scales until they bleed. Even when he's not anxious, which is rare, it's become a habit, and he picks at them absently.

At one point, he got nervous enough and was picking so hard at his scales, that his paw slipped, and he caught his left eye. He damaged it enough that it had to do be removed.
