Then again, I've always considered the Star Trek design philosophy to be more than a little fragile - I mean, just aim at the pylons connecting the warp drive nacelles or the connection between the primary and engineering hulls.

P.S. Those slate-blue objects are mass-drivers for use against Basestars.

Oooh, mass drivers!

Overall, it's a good solid design. It's obviously supposed to get in close and smash hell out of its target while absorbing a lot of punishment.

Indeed. Also, those three hatches on each side of the "arrowhead" are missile/rocket ports.
