The big question in my mind when I first saw the show was, did the designer for Scooby-Doo's Daphnie steal Kitty' Jo's outfit, or the reverse, or were they the same designer? In any case, she still looks like a cutie after (too many) years. ^_^

She was probably designed by the same artist. My guess is that artist was the late Iwao Takamoto. Even if it wasn't him, H-B has such a strong "house style" that it doesn't surprise me that their characters wound up looking very similar (it also makes it easier to re-use animation).
