Okay this is closer to the "raw" camera shot with about the same adjustments made for both versions. The actual issue is, you can see, that my old camera (Canon Powershot A590) captured far less saturation even in ideal conditions. Trying to add back in the vividness of the colors is difficult when every color is slightly different from every other color, so it generally ended up in a tinted version of how it was SUPPOSED to look.

Might I suggest adding "color chips" to the shot; one for black, one for white, and one for neutral grey. In Photoshop, there is an adjustment layer called "curves" that allows you to select a white, black, and grey point to color balance the image, and these chips provide for a useful calibration. (you can also just do image > adjustments > curves, or ctrl/cmd+M)
