So, about time I uploaded some more WH40k stuff into my scraps.
Here's something I worked on lately - my new Lucius Pattern Drop Pod from Forgeworld. I got it about 1 or two weeks before the new Apocalypse book kinda nerfed the rules! But the new ones are pretty cool nonetheless.
As you can see, this thing is BIG - I put my regular pod next to it for comparison. It can actually physically fit the Dreadnought it's supposed to deliver to the battlefield inside, and you can close the hatches without problems with it inside.
Obviously, the black parts are only primed and still need to be painted properly.

It's a great model. Cleaning the parts up was a hell of a mess (though that is to be expected from large resin parts) and they had to be bent into proper shape a bit, but otherwise it was really easy to assemble too. It's only 9 parts.
And on top of that, the new rules - while maybe not all as strong as before - make the pod much more flexible in use. Fun to build, fun to use - I can only recommend it if you like dreads in pods. :3
