Feeling like that puppy someone gets then after a while they get bored with or find out they no longer have the time for it so they put it in a box and mark FREE on it then walk away without thinking at all that the puppy might feel defective and useless. The puppy would think that it didn't try hard enough, or that it must have messed up in order for those close to it to dump it in a box and walk away.
