I decided I'd attempt to take a big leap in my drawing and tackle 3 things that have been a rather big hindrance to my improvement. Perspective, it has not been an easy thing for me to grasp in drawing as the more I need to accurately match the proportions of one to another, the more awkward the drawing becomes for me. Smaller details, things that aren't necessarily needed in a drawing, but improve it's look in general, I tend to overlook them often. Fear of lines, I've always had this issue that if I try to add too many lines that my drawing will come out looking awkward.
As a result of my work, this drawing came about and I'm fairly happy with the results. I even managed to tackle features that I've never attempted to draw before and took the time to work on every little detail until I felt it was right. I'm not saying that the drawing is perfect, there are certainly mistakes I made, but I feel confident that this is a step up for me. On another note though, this also gave me more practice with blending colors, shading, and avoiding colors that present too much contrast to other colors.
All that said, what is this creature? Hell if I know! I just drew it because it interested me and well, I have a habit of drawing things like this at random xD I'll likely name it, but for the moment, I'm just thinking about what I want to tackle next.
