I just prefer the look, personally. Dogs have five toes and a dewclaw so mentally it translates better. XD Four fingers is easier to do, though.

Amen to that! I have a friend who actually made some five-fingered paws that can scrunch into a paw print shape here. It's a cute compromise between the different styles.

haha! XD and they even remove the dewclaw with most dogs... anyways... that link you gave, i like that indeed! two styles perfectly combined!
