In other news, I kept pushing for our Alien trailer project to include Ripley in underwear (it'd be 1890ies underwear, at that), but I was told it was slutty or whatever. Idk, people don't seem up for taking risks much. So I am doing a LOT of Ripley doodles in underwear.
The project's art style is nothing like this, I wish ;)

We just finished 2 weeks of messy preproduction, so far it's mostly private on facebook, but I can set up a project blog for anyone else who wants to follow. It's a 30 second Alien trailer in new setting, for animation school project.

My angle is that she is in a hurry because Alien is after her, and that she's a character who doesn't give a fuck. But my animator insists that she asked 20 people who all said it made her look "easy" and preferred her design.

Yep, we had to watch it and write a paper and all that. And that's my argument, it's canon. I could understand arguments like it being cheesy and easy, but nope.
