Or Syns
Synergies are a nice mix of merychippus/Rangifer tarandus/Kirin
....................................... Proto-horse/caribou/kirin
These are my mythic horses (creatures If you wanna get touchy about what they are). There isn’t really a story that I have ready to tell about their origins. How ever if you’re ready for a tiny bit of a read I can tell you what they are about.(read side note all the way at the bottom for mix explainations)
The Syns are very solitary creatures. Although they can and often live in herds, sometimes their curiosity can cause they’re 'leaving'. They have a hierarchy when in herds. Often having from 1-3 top males over seeing a harem of females. Females are usually the more aggressive then the males; often the 'tell-tails' of a female are sharp-pronged antlers and slightly longer manes (long bangs). Both male and females can grow neck hair. It’s a sign of puberty, although not all females grow this. During mating season females fight amongst them selves for the right to breed with one of the males. The males do not fight, as there is plenty to go around :3
The gestation period for a female Syn is 15 months. Females can give birth to up to 2-3 babies. Having 3 is very rare; they often die due to complication of the birthing.
Syns are omnivores though having the tendency to nibble and 'try' mostly anything that smells appealing they prefer vegetation. (Easier to take down ;3 ) Syns usually do not light to waste energy though a chase or a fight in order to capture their prey. However their are always the few exception, but they are almost always young bucks with energy to burn. Syns are very big creatures, females can weigh from300-600lbs, males putting on a few more to weigh in at about +800lbs. Males and femals are practically the same height. Hieghts range from 4-7 from the shoulder(to the ground).Syns are not mammals, they cannot produce milk (no mammary glands), Females must eat heavily and then regurgitate the food to the young. During the time a female must look after her young she will tend to feed mostly on meat. In herds it is easier too care for their little ones because the other females of the herd will help watch over and help feed young.
They are 3 toed, although they do have hairs that cover the 3rd small toe that tends to be almost behind the 1st 2 it is there. Their hooves are usually earthy dark colors lighter color hooves are rare. Colors in coats that are rare are the darker colors (purple, black, &so on) Eye color's in Syns tend to be 'warm' bright colors black and brown are rare but red is the rarest eye color of all (not listed). Almost always is the face of a Syn one color, or at least the half of the face. It is usual for a Syn to have their coat patter continue up to their face. It is very common for a Syn to have the colors of their mane, antlers, and markings are in the same color region (look to example shown).
And that’s it :3. All colors listed are just the base colors. A color of any given Synergy is any tone or shade of the listed colors. So if yah make one have fun and tell me :4
p.s. as a side note i place the mix of what a Syn is becuz one could be able to accosiate(sp?) more to what i am trying to say... in other words i am fleshing out this beast.
