Was in a Hester doodlin' mood. And the "Oogie Boogie Man" theme got caught in my head. THUS... this.

And very few people realise that they are as creative as their weirdest dream...
...which kinda debunks the myth of uncreative. Although I have known people who block themselves from remembering their dreams so they can continue to claim uncreativity.
(I heard of someone who was in an art funk and so depressed that they dreamed they were in a gallery of these beautiful pictures that someone else had painted and that they couldn't hope to do. That is, until an artist friend said "But don't you see? You also imagined those amazing pictures in your dream - they're YOUR WORK TOO.")

Kinda' cool when you realise you can use your dreams as royalty-free content for your work. ;D
That sorta creativity is also common when you're half asleep - there have been a few times I've been almost falling asleep standing, and actually heard completely original music running through my mind. Never bothered to record it or play it or write it down though - and I still can't manage it when I'm awake.
This is where the "drunk artist" and "stoned artist" concepts come from - used to be people tried to get at that state through booze or other depressants. It's a very narrow section of consciousness between "Oh there's my creativity" and "durr-hurr-hurr" though.
Same thing applies to computer programming - the standard line goes that if you get drunk, you'll write perfect code, but you'll have no idea how it does what it does when you wake up the next day. XD
I bet meditation could help get at that state of mind, though, with practice. Then again - art can be trance-inducing too
