This is something I kind of got long ago. Its from dashermkii Its a unfinished WIP that may never get finished. Sadly I believe This artist has disappeared.
story
This is a ship from a story line I've been thinking of making. Its about a distant and past universe Filled with war. This is a ship under my characters command that would be a 'hold the line'. Its a extremely large, and heavily armored ship. Its a ship that is spose to deal out massive damage, and take it even more.
Its extremely well armed as mentioned. Its covered in several hundered PDWs, to 6 massive Ion Cannons to each rigger. The turrets are heavy based Shell/Laser cannons. The smaller turrets are Autocannons that are effective at taking out Ships trying to get within its range envelope. There are several missile, and torpedo bays as well. They range from Torpedoes that are designed to enter its own hyperspace, and exit across a system to Missiles that carried antimatter/exotic heads.
Its also massively large. It can carry on for years alone and even if something to happens to one of the 'outriggers' They could be jettisoned, and left to either continue fighting on auto defense, or as a large mine. Their are a good number of reactors. Each outrigger has 3. One for the Ion Cannons, one for the weapon systems, and one for propulsion, and other necessary systems.
The compliment of this ships crew is unique. Its rather small for a ship that is nearly a KM long. There is alot of Automated units to control the ship, an cyborgs. Nearly ALL Crew member had some kind of implant. Mostly a com device. Combat training was a necessary. BUT one of the biggest was comradery. Due to length of duty your family became your crew. It could be months to years between returns to dock. And with a battle at any moment you wanted a friend to grab you before a pressure door slammed shut.
This was to be about a RP for anyone intrested in a good long RP. With random mix ups on things, and alot of characters. Maybe entirely different RPs going on in the same ship.

Interesting... A what if, the colonials from Battlestar Galactica and the Cylons got together. BTW... have you ever checked out Jane's all the world's ships, Jane's all the world's aircraft and Jane's all the world's military tanks? I know there's a website for them, but I strongly recommend getting a hold of the actual books if your local library has them.
