expanding around me, a blindness of snow
whip-driven by cold winds, but no place to go
and all of the pack-ice that I chance to find

Crows/ravens are very interesting birds. When I was a kid, a friend had a crow/raven; he called it a raven, but I think it was a crow. Anyway, he taught it to talk, and when said friend went on vacation and left it with me for a week, the bird acutally pined away for him, and when said friend returned from vacation, the bird went wild, spreading it wings, hopping up and down and saying "Jocko, Jocko" (Jocko being the name of said birds owner)over and over again. Weird.
Gives me a sense of moving on if it might look bleak on the horizon and the continuing glare of snow an ice. ^^; but that is my inturpretation < cant spell Xp , But non the less i love your painting style ^^ . Hope to see you at Oklacon! I might actually have a booth/ table space this time !! ^^; anyways enough rambling, Hope to see more!! ^^ PS: washs, ??? or water down ink?? maybe??
How long did it take you to get this good? I mean, I assume unless you're very very lucky that you had to practice, but was it a case of years, or what? The reason I ask is because I keep imagining myself becoming really good at drawing, but the more people like you I see the more I wonder if I could ever actually do it.
Not that I'm trying to make you feel guilty, I'm just curious.
