The first thing is some kind of ancient stone guardian left by some ancient civilization. looks vaguely mayan.
The thing on the bottom right is some kind of creature made of gold that hides in massive piles of gold and ambushes/lures in adventurers who are greedy, or just don't know any better.

I'd totally say, sliverlings are like, little punks who gather to form bigger, nastier punks voltron style. And like, if you cut off an arm, or head of the bigger ones, all the little ones break apart and swarm until they stop being panicked, and try to rejoin. And maybe the big ones can shatter and swarm if need be. But that's speculation. :D
