Nice. *chuckle* I haven't read many of the responses so far to this week's, but I think there was some misunderstanding of what I meant -- I meant for "The first time I saw him, I thought..." to be the first line of the response (as in, "complete this sentence and keep going"), but I don't know if anyone's actually used it that way. >^_^< Oh, well, as I say, whatever works...

In all honesty, I sort of figured that was what you had intended. After reading several other prompts that didn't follow that form I figured, "Meh, do whatever works, just get the main idea in there."

Well at the bottom you /did/ say adapt as needed, and its hard to sound so uniform to everyone else. Thats a personal thing of mine. Too much of school going: Answer this question by restating the question in answer form first and then continuing to strengthen your point. Meh!

You know, I hadn't planned on it. But the little guy kind of grew on my more than any other character I've created. I just may follow his story further and see where it goes.

Yeah its a very emotion based intro. Flowed well, and yeah felt like it just went kapooey for a continuation at the end (sorta like mine went blah at the end xD) but anyway its good, I do want to see more of him as well.

I'm a bit late in reading this (a lot's been going on this week), but it was good. ^^ Well-written, sentimental, and above all, based around a feline! But seriously, good entry. :)

I'd wonder about Jason..does he see Tux as a pet or a son? That's the first thing that would go through my head if Tux introduced himself to me several years down the road.

A nice start, I like the breadth of genemorph-human interactions that you explore in your works. The descriptions of his wounds I found fascinating, as they aren't things that would bother a human, but for him they're disfiguring. That's a fascinating conundrum you've set up for these folks. As always, I want to see more. :P

Cute. Beautiful. Short, but I liked it. Well, not much to say above that, the story consisted mostly of the protagonist's thoughts. But still, very entertaining read. Good work.

I think it's been a lot of fun actually reading this series from where it is now and going backwards to the beginning. It's really shown me how much this character of yours has grown over time. I really liked finding out where the nickname Tux came from, but I never realized just how difficult his young life has been. You really feel for the little guy.
