Yes and no. I have been shooting both for fun and Professionally for a few years, and I started exclusively digital. It's still what I use for jobs and still my comfort zone, for the ease of shooting, editing capability, and the lack of much restriction of how many shots I can take. Besides, it is cheaper, since a roll of the film I used in this photo is about $8 and only allows me 16 shots per roll, and I can buy a SD card that can hold Thousands of Digital photos at a time for a little more than that.
However, I picked up film about 4 years ago, and it fits a little more readily into my interests and my aesthetic preferences as an artist, plus it is enjoyable to experiment with working around with the physical requirements of Film. The textures, the colors, and the overall mood and effect I get with my negatives is something I can't recreate digitally. Besides, Darkroom Printmaking is beyond fun for me.
If I have any situation where I NEED a photo to come out perfect, I'll use digital since I can't trust film enough, but film is a fun hobby within a hobby!
