I wanted to draw mermaids, but I didn't want to draw the average "Little Mermaid". These mermaids like to seduce and trick sailors into jumping off their ships in order to be with them. The mermaid will at first seem sweet and try to tempt the sailors to follow them underneath the waves, deeper and deeper. When they have a good grip on the victim the mermaid will show their hideous true form and by then it is already too late, they attack and devour the helpless sailor like a pack of piranha.
