When Scar told Simba to come to the gorge for a surprise, Mheetu had wanted to go too.

"Play with Nala or something," said Simba.

"This surprise is just for the prince, Mheetu." Scar gently told him.

But Mheetu followed, even though he knew the lionesses would come looking for him. And he had seen...everything.

Mheetu was created as Nala's little brother but was cut from The Lion King. A very early storyline had an older Simba coming to the gorge to save Mheetu, who had been lured there by Scar.
