Yet another Roachman oldie.. and this one comes with a text.. *blushes-and-hides*
“And he would gaze upon the visitors of the lake, the surface dwellers, as they, unwary his existence, came down to the water to either swim or fish or throw rocks at the looking glass lake making it ripple in to a stream of ever-growing circles or neither and nothing but just sit and watch as nature preformed a soothing play of calmness before them.”
“Sometimes he would think to himself ‘How I wish I could walk amongst them, being part of their shoal’ and he had tried and failed and tried again only to fail in his pursuit so many times he’d eventually come to terms with what condition his being had given him, still not, however discontinued to dream.”
“For his dreams, it wasn’t that he was unable to move about out of water that was restraining him from his lifelong wish, not at all, since as long as he could remember he would scout the regions near the lake, at times gather enough courage to tiptoe near the very settlements of those he had so many a time cast eye upon in hopes they would do likewise and not reject him but greet him and invite him to stay with them as an equal, alas it would never happen, his appearance was much to beastly in the eyes of man that when, and every time, they saw him they would resolve to screaming or shouting or throwing anything in grabbing distance at him, anything to make him go away. And so he remained being all alone in the world. ”
