IVAN GETS A CHARIZARD 'CAUSE IVAN IS COOL.
Yes, that's a Charizard. Yes, I know it looks mean. There are some Pokemon that don't need to be cutesy, though. I mean, I don't think people in medieval times thought fire breathing lizards were adorable, do you?
Done in BiC marker, glitter pen, microns, Prang pencils, and watercolors on cardstock.

I know! I've only seen one once in my on again/off again obsession with Pokemon: Diamond, but I've heard there's a trick to getting one, let me check... ~sorts through archive~ Ah, here it is. Well, it seems you just need a bit of luck, and be willing to reset the game a few hundred times if need be, but if you're patient enough you can get a shiny starter (charmander). Then just get it to evolve and it'll keep it's shiny status through both evolutions until you get a Black Charizard. Or, if you have an Ultra Ball (not a Master, since I don't think it's strong enough) and you see one in free-roam, you can get it then.
The same goes for any other shiny (Blue Mew, Green Dragonite, etc) in the game. I hope that helps!

Although I am unsure if he'll turn black or not, since he's yellow when he starts out as a charmander, but he's a shiny and I've been told that the Black Charizard is also a shiny, so maybe it'll work. That's just what I've managed to dig up, I've never actually done that (I don't have the time or energy, and I also don't have the game.. I used to play a friend's game before he moved away.) As to where you can catch one, I don't know. I just know that if you roam the game, and have enough patience and luck, you'll find a Black Charizard and can supposedly get one with an Ultra Ball.
