Homeland
The wind paladin Sir Kiljaos Windmane and his loyal steed Stormblåst have returned to their homeland from their pilgrimage. The familiar surroundings bring a lot of memories and new challanges await at home as well.
This is a painting that I made at school with gouache-watercolors. The objective was to paint a picture that tells where we are from and what are our interests. I decided to make my fursona Sir Kiljaos with Stormblåst as they tell some about myself. And of course they are in the strong wind since I like windy weathers. Also I painted my hometown Raahe, here in Finland, in the background to represent the place where I am from since there I was born and where I am living now again. It's also appropiate to have Sir Kiljaos riding Stormblåst in this picture since the coat of arms of Raahe has a knight riding a horse with a red background.
