Huskies will very in shape and color, malamutes usually wont. Mal's have pointy/squinty eyes with shorter ears and a round face. They look very much like an akita inu.
Its hard to tell with huskies because the "alaskan" husky has become a popluar dog to own and they are not an AKC standard making it hard to tell what is what!
