If you are, however, a toothless old crack whore, not so much.
There's only so much lack that smoking can make up for.
For the rest you need to have a taste for cigars.
In fact, I've contemplated doing something like this myself, with my own characters, but more abstract covers. You know, stuff that isn't necessarily portraits.
There's quite a massive one I've had lying half done for a year and a half, perhaps I should get back to that one and finish it? It would be a good starting point, though I'd probably have to rework it a little by now.
