I'd tend to agree about the patience part, I was just beginning in the art of scrolling and didn't know what I was doing with materials or blades. I ended up breaking the outline three times because it kept getting caught in the blade and slapping down on the table, snapping it.
I'd really like to be able to sit down and do more projects like these using my new skills and knowledge, see if I've improved any.
