So apparently I've gotten some nods at the fact that the smoosh wolves don't really look much like wolves at all, in fact they have been mistaken for foxes or even just suggested that they look more like foxes. I couldn't just change their names to "smoosh foxes", but I can at least try to make them more wolf-like, and the best way to do that is to actually learn how to draw a wolf.
These are just some sketches of observational practices applied to the four smooshies, of course moreso to Ray out of biasedness. Not entirely happy, but I'll probably do more practice sketches later.
And by all means, critique is welcome! I'd love to hear if you think they at least look more like wolves here, and if not, let me know what I can do to better fit the animal.

Well at least they weren't following that FA cliche where the base of everything happens to be a dog. Anyway the study looks like it went well and even though the previous designs did look like foxes more than wolves, you at least had the intiative to take notice and not let it sit by, and by judgement of wolves large sizes and body build, it's actually a really good look for them.
