I think you did the hybrid very well. He looks like a plush toy you just want to snuggle all up. The pose is super fun, too!
I am admiring how you are doing new things to separate your characters from the backgrounds. The "White Outline" is very interesting and almost makes the picture look like it could be a sticker. :)
