Interesting facts about these birds:

1) In 1992 a hurricane broke open their homes and sent them across the island. So by now they are a welcome nuisance.

2) They have no natural predators. Meaning only time, nature, or a someone who doesn't care may cause their deaths.

3) Supposedly they're not tasty. A joke amongst locals is that if you boiled one of these birds and a lava rock for two hours, the rock would be the only edible thing.
