Like a lot of gamers I was saddened by Gary Gygax's death, last week.

I had this idea as a thumbnail sitting in my sketchpad and I figured working it up would be an appropriate tribute to a man who had such a profound, albeit remote, impact on my life.

This is actually the end of Gygax's module "The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth." The adventurers have just discovered that the witch-queen Iggwilv's fabled treasure isn't a "what" but a "who" - her daughter Drelzna, guarded by the legendary Daoud's Magic Lantern. It's going to come as an even bigger shock to our heros when they find out that Drelzna is a powerful vampiric fighter with a formidible enchanted sword.
