I used to get spanked with either my mum's weird flat spoon that had little holes in it so it left this perfect round pattern with dots lol, or what was worse was my dad and his leather belt. But they stopped doing that back when I was twelve, since I had gotten a lot better. Took me a while to learn not to stay up late every night. Now I see that there were others who had similar embarrassing pasts, and I had once thought I was more troublesome than everyone else. Now I know that I am not.

ah okay. Yeah if they go overboard and hit them hard it is aweful (had it happen one time to me that bad) but in general if a parent does do it and they are a GOOD parent they swing just hard enough to make it sting not to leave long term marks

I was spanked up to the age of 8. During one, I was flailing so much and kicking to get free I kicked my dad in the jaw and cracked 2 teeth and completely shattered one of them. Was never spanked again after that. >:D

yes the wooden spoon. He may be crying in the pic and upset but he is secretly happy it happened when his papa was out of town on a Job for the Gov't otherwise it would have been a belt. either way he learned his lesson and hopefully will listen when told not to do something next time.

it ok. i think the worse trouble i been in is when window broke and i didn't touch it. i was just at wrong place at wrong time. some time dad get so mad they don't take time to find out the truth. if anything i learn from that, take time find real truth before you get mad at anyone. my childhood was never was easy when come to right and wrong.

I don't think he'll forgive mama for that. Those punishments are only going to make him think she doesn't love him anymore. Mama's partly to blame, after all she should've kept the vase in a safe place where it could not possibly break, instead she had to keep it on a three-legged table. Tom Cat got let off much better in "The Flying Sorceress", all he had to do was clean up the mess.

No Saber knows his Mama loves him with all her heart. He is only mad cause he knew he did wrong in the first place by not listening and he knows he earned his spanking for doing so. And no...the vase was not in a "bad place" or on a 3 legged table.

honestly i'll say spankings are the way to go for some punsihments, but the thing most perents forget to do is calm down themself, never spank a kid while your angry yourself

after all the most terrifying part of the punishment is sitting in your room waiting for your mom/dad/uncle/whomever to come back there

precisely This was one of the main points I put focus on in a research paper i did on the subject of spanking kids for a psychology class. Never spank when angry. If they "earn" a spanking send them to their room while you calm down first then TALK to them before you spank and snuggle after.
