For my two cents worth...

I'd have been rather amused had it been one of those little trial toothbrushes he was using instead.. ( like the kind that are given away in a dentist's office) in his primary hand, and his other hand (by his leg) was holding a very small (again "trial size" ) tube of toothpaste..
