Unfortunately I am not familiar with this. I will have to do some research.
other than that OT:
Are you familiar with the rather cutely disturbing Nazo no Kanojo X (Mysterious Girlfriend X)? I think the main girl would suit your art, she has a thing for scissors. Why couldn't I have met someone like this years ago?

It's definitely worth reading imo. (Though I would recommend the lp over the anime, a lot of information gets lost in translation) The best description I've heard for it is Phoenix Wright meets Battle Royale.
I haven't actually seen it yet, but I have heard of it! She does seem like a character I would like though, crazy girls are my favorites.

I have the manga, not sure but I think it is still in production. One site has more than the other, and it doesn't end, talks about the next issue.
lp? scuse my ignorance over the abbreviation, I equate that to mean old fashioned vinyl record., and yes the manga is better than the anime, but trust me the anime is worth watching (in Japanese only please), just to hear her and get her mannerisms in your head for doing her art. Besides the scenes where she uses the scissors in eps 1 & 2 wouldn't be seen quite the same otherwise. I always try to get both. But yes, I will suggest her again. Who would have thought a drooling scissor wielding dark moody girl would be attractive? Guess I'm just crazy too.
Thank you for taking the time to deal with my obsessions, lol.

Lp is shorthand for 'let's play' Since the original game is only available in Japanese, someone on Something Awful did a translation. It's been archived now if you're interested in reading it. http://lparchive.org/Dangan-Ronpa/
I'll add it to my list! Though I don't know when I'll actually get around to it I've got like... fifty... series I want to watch at some point and haven't started yet. @_@ I do almost always watch series subbed, generally I find dubs to be awful. (I think the only series I've preferred dubbed are Black Lagoon and Baccano!!) Butyeah if I do get around to watching it I'll probably draw her. And don't worry about it, I always like to hear about new series. ^^

Well I agree with sub/dub views of yours as well. I have watched probably 700 or 800 series, and only about 5 or 6 were as good in dub, as sub. And only 1 or 2 were better. Ex: I thought the jokes and character style was better in English for Dominion Tank Police, and almost the same for Geobreeders. Tenchi muyo and Hyper Police were 50/50. And yes I did like Black Lagoon in English as well, also Cowboy Bebop, and GITS. But again, this is like such a tiny fraction of what I have watched. I think a lot has to do with the budget of the series taking the American market into account from the start, and the director/writer having some input into the selection of the voice cast. We may differ on fine point, or choice of what we like, but at least we agree that 98 - 99 % of English dub sucks. It obviously does not have t be this way, it is possible to have good dub. I am not just particular because I have studied Japanese. To be honest I hate when I hear something being said that differs from the subtitles too wildly. Mild difference is ok, but when entire meaning is changed, or worse ignored, I go WTF! And this is especially true when the original vocals make more sense in the situation than the text. Oh well at least it means I understand more than I used to. I wish I had a partner to study with, being self taught does not answer a lot of questions that books and taped do not answer. At least one that appreciates the culture (not just anime) enough to like what I like about it, and see what I see in it. I should have moved there years ago before they tightened immigration requirements. Anyway, enough ranting's of a stupid foolish otaku artist.
Yeah the market for anime in America is TINY in comparison to Japan since it's considered a fairly niche genre, so naturally the resources that go into it are pretty small. You can tell just from comparing the cast of a couple series that the amount of voice actors are very limited. (Hence Vic Mignogna being in everything under the sun) I think the huge culture difference creates problems too when it comes to changes in dialogue and such. Dubbers sometimes have to make the choice between staying 100% true to script and risking the possibility of sounding awkward in English, and possibly being inaccessible to people who aren't hugely into anime or changing certain aspects and losing some of the meaning too. Which I imagine is really difficult, especially when it comes to puns and wordplay which seems to be used a lot. At least we seem to have passed the 4kids era of trying to 'Americanize' series.
I've tried to start learning Japanese on and off (along with French, Italian, Chinese.... the list goes on), but I'm afraid I'm pretty bad at motivating myself to study languages. Niconico has kept me decent with my kana but I've forgotten a lot. Hmm well there are advantages and disadvantages to living there I'm sure. Unfortunately it does seem like it's pretty much impossible to move there at the moment. My uncle lived in Tokyo for the last couple of years, but that was arranged by his company.

Lucky him, unlucky us. Well I hope he isn't anywhere to close to the accident area. radiation and all.
I do not have the Niconico stuff, I have heard it is good for beginners. However I am only interested in speaking/understanding spoken word at this time. Written is a bit too complicated, and add to the all the variances in the language itself over the past few hundred years. The main thing I would use written for (in this country at least) is reading signatures or other info on tangs of original samurai swords (which I collect and restore). Although it would be nice to be able to read all the 276,452,972 (arbitrary huge number here) issues of digital manga I have that is untranslated. Then at least I could translate it for others. I do recognize some letters sounds and words when written, but not many. I mainly use what I do know in knowing what mahjong tiles are numbered, or which direction they are. But not like I have anyone to really play against, as it take 4 people (I have an original bamboo and ivory set from the 20's). Oh well, what I need are neighbors or friends to help in this, but unfortunately I have neither in this area. Very few people out my way are into the culture as a whole (like I am), let alone just the anime, or in Japanese instead of English if they are. Heck I would be happy with Mandarin as well. There is a lot of Asian culture I love, not just Japanese, although it is at the top.

I did get to visit before, so it's at least somewhat lucky for me. xD
I was really using it just for finding music, the reading practice is just a nice side effect. But yeah, being able to read anything more than a couple words is a very far off goal for me considering the ridiculous amount of kanji in existence. It is unfortunate that there aren't more people with similar interests, but I guess that's the nice thing about the internet!

True, but once I get back home I will not have internet as much. I live in a rural part of the US, that is about 200 miles west of Washington DC. What area of the world are you in? Vague approximation is ok, as I know we are on the net. Just a loose idea would be nice. I am originally from Maryland, but have since moved to West Virginia to get away from the crime, and get back to nature some. You might like to look at some o the pictures in my gallery, as I have taken a lot of pictures of the area I live. Very pretty and peaceful. I am not lucky enough to be a real artist like yourself. I used to love drawing when I was younger, but my eyesight sucks, as well as having nerve damage in my hands now, pretty much precludes any art in the future. So I just photograph things I like now. Well I have been doing that my whole life as well, but now I am limited to that. And with my eyesight failing, I may not be able to do this forever either. So I am enjoying it while I can. But seriously, go look. Oh and I watched ep 10 of D.R. today. I hope the rest comes out soon.

I live in the deep south of the states, so I feel your pain when it comes to shoddy internet access. (For ages the area I lived in was so far out in the country we couldn't even get dial up.) I'd really like to move... anywhere else, but I'm not sure when that's going to happen.
Photography is definitely real art though! And I think your gallery is quite impressive. ^^ That is a shame though, I hope you are able to continue photography as long as possible.
And I'm glad you're enjoying Dangan Ronpa! I'm hoping the last trial will be at least close to the intensity of the actual game.

There is a pre-sale of the English remake of the game on Amazon at the moment, but I dot have $40 to blow on a game that might not play on my PSP 2000. The release date is in Feb.

And yes i read all of the LP (had to, couldn't wait). I don't think the trial will be as good, as the LP would make the series be at least 16 eps, and not 13 if you count the epilogue as well. Should be at least 14 anyway. So far I like KiriGiri, but in a real sick kind of way I also like the rotten girl. I find her funny and cute (it even disturbs me, perhaps I am too twisted for my own good.) After reading the LP, I think it would have (excluding the shooting confrontation game play) made a good manga.
Thank you for looking at my gallery, hopefully in there is something for you to like.

Yup, I'm planning on buying it! It won't be quite the same I suppose since I already know the plot points, but at the very least I want to support the series. (Especially since I'm hoping they localize the second game too)
It really is unfortunate that they didn't make it a full-length anime in order to get in more of the character development. (But then it's the same studio that did the Persona 4 anime so I wasn't expecting a whole lot) It's fun to see some of the characters animated though. (Especially Syo)
I ended up liking just about all of the female characters, but Sakura, Junko and Fukawa are my favorites. I have no room to judge you on liking crazy characters haha. And there is actually a manga adaption, but it also has pacing issues and seems to be intended more as a companion to the game rather than a stand-alone series.
