MISS VALERIE VALENTINE (not her real name; she'll never tell her real name)

Valerie is half-demon, half-Latina. She doesn't like (and really doesn't care) to say what country she's from, but Spanish is at least the first (or second) language there. Her father was, from what she knows, a good but lonely man. Her mother, however, was a demon queen named Glenda, who provided Val's father with a life that was more hell than heaven.
Growing up, Val and her father were treated very badly by her mother, who was a reprehensible, violent, sex-craved, and morally-bankrupt being in every conceivable way. Val and her dad endured abuse from Glenda nearly every day until dad blew his brains out the first chance he got. Val wasn't so lucky. Minor transgressions were met with major, often violent or humiliating, punishments. It also didn't help that although Glenda was pushing for her to become a full and powerful demon upon reaching adulthood, she didn't really care for it at all, at one point cutting off her demon tail. She has since had a tattoo to try to cover up the resulting (rather nasty-looking) scar.
Although Glenda made her childhood a living hell, she did find various escapes in happier things, such as hanging out with friends, and with various hobbies, such as (primarily magical girl) anime, and her favorite Spanish-language variety show. She was a fan of the hostesses of the show, and loved their colorful, pretty outfits, eventually taking up sewing and making her own. The outfits she made were also influenced by the type of anime she loved as well. But as usual, Glenda found out, scolded her for doing "such stupid mortal shit", and burned all of her dresses and magical girl paraprenalia. The only thing Val was able to save was her hat, which she wears to this day.
When she was old enough to drive, she managed to escape her home country and her mother. She traveled around, working various jobs here and there, until she met a young woman named Lorelei "Lori" Parker. Lori had a past of her own, and the two became friends. Eventually the two started to share an apartment together.
Meanwhile, Glenda found about Val leaving, and was so incensed that she would get her daughter back one way or another, even if it means other people had to die. One she found out where Val was staying, she arranged for a little "accident"...
One day from work, while on the way home, Val got hit by a moving van. Lorelei tried to get out of the way, and barely made it. Although Lori was fine (more on that later), Valerie died instantly, but the story doesn't end there...
Valerie was granted immortality because, long story short, she was a good person who lived a hard life. Since there was some paperwork to be done (because, y'know, these things need to be processed and filed and such), she had to wait a while. Once Glenda found out about this, she decided to add in a little something of her own, a little "fuck you" to her own daughter's efforts to get away from her and the demon life she rejected.
Once the paperwork *was* filed, Val got her immortality, with a little catch. As she was bilingual, most anytime she spoke any Spanish she would become very, very, slutty... like Panty-level slutty. She wouldn't be that way in English. Val didn't find out about that little catch until much, much later... and when she found out it was her mother's doing, she resented her with a violent passion ever since, even long after she accepted and embraced her Spanish-language sluttiness. It was around this time that she adopted the name "Miss Valerie Valentine", not only because it sounded cute, but also to try to cut ties with her mother.
Miss Valerie Valentine is a very cheerful girl that doesn't get mad at anything. She's a very spirited individual, and is very fiery. She's always cheerful and she loves everyone except her mother. She loves dressing up in overly-cute clothes as well as skimpy outfits (or nothing at all), as she enjoys showing herself off. She is almost always seen wearing her favorite hat, and although her antics can sometimes make her best friend Lorelei tire of them, Lori is at least respectful of them, and sometimes helps with Val's projects, albeit reluctantly. As she is half-demon, she does pick up certain things from her mother, but they're usually done in a MUCH more positive way, for example, while she does her own thing, she is usually considerate of others, and tries to get people in on it as well.
