The seventh and final part of a side story featuring Kiyomi, the elite guard to the emperor or Edotogawa and his travels with the Kurumigami envoy, Hiro Takeda. As the two men reach Kurumigami, Hiro bids farewell to his former servants as well as his former life. Just as Kiyomi is about to return to Edotogawa, however, Hiro decides to give a gift from his homeland. The birth of Umeko gives him hope and gives rise to new possibilities in the future. After the two share a tender embrace, Kiyomi returns back to the capital. Is that truly the end of the tale, though? What of the loose ends left unraveled during the journey? And what lies in wait for these two in the future of uncertainty?

The story as a whole revolves around two characters and tends to alternate between their perspectives, so watch for the arrows to indicate character shifts. I thought it would be interesting to try something like this in order to show more of Kiyomi overall, so please let me know what you think.
