(A classic Bloody Mary with Shrimp is called a Shrimp Wreck Mary. Now, let’s add bacon! BACON BACON BACON!)
**Easy Difficulty**
Serves 1
3 oz / 90 ml - Vodka (I love Ketel One, but Grey Goose is awesome too)
1 ½ cup / 350 ml - Spicy Tomato Juice (I like using Spicy V8)
A dash of Tabasco
A dash or two of Worcestershire Sauce
A dash of Lime Juice
Pinch of Celery Salt
Pinch of Ground Black Pepper and table Salt to Taste
3 large raw Shrimp (I used Size 21 - 25)
3 slices Bacon (I used a thick cut)
Bar Olives, a Stalk of Celery, wedge of Lime and lemon, all for Garnish
1.) First off, here’s a secret to perfect Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. We’re going to Partially cook the bacon first! In a Baking pan lined with Foil, arrange the 3 slices of bacon so they do not touch. Place into an oven preheated to 400 degrees F. / 205 degrees C. for 7 to 8 minutes. Remove bacon from oven and let cool.
2.) Wrap the 3 raw large Shrimp in Bacon and skewer them with some wood toothpicks you’ve soaked in water. Then place the Shrimp back onto the baking pan and return the pan to the oven, for 7 to 8 minutes or until the Bacon is crisp, and the Shrimp is cooked. Remove Bacon Wrapped Shrimp from oven, and remove toothpicks. On a long Bamboo skewer, skewer the 3 Bacon Wrapped Shrimp with 3 green Olives. Alternate between the two. Set aside to mix your Bloody Mary
3.) In a Shaker with lots of ice, add Vodka, Tomato Juice, Tabasco, Worcestershire, Lime Juice, Celery Salt, Pepper, and table Salt. Shake until well mixed and nicely chilled. Strain into a tall glass, and Garnish with a stalk of Celery, a wedge of Lime and lemon, and of course, your Skewer of Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. Enjoy an Awesome Bacon Wrapped Shrimp Wreck Mary!
Extra Info: I like having Cocktail parties at my house so I can get my friends drunk and watch the hilarity ensue. What! Don’t judge me! D= Hehe. This last party was nice and fun, because we also had a Doctor Who Marathon in celebration of the 12th Doctor. However, when the party was over, I forced a few friends to sleepover night, because they were not capable of driving home safely. You people reading this, You know who you are! *points accusingly*
Being the hospitable Tiger that I am, I wanted to make them breakfast the next morning, along side the perfect Breakfast Cocktail. This Bacon Wrapped Shrimp Wreck Mary! Yes. We’re drinking before noon. Again, don’t judge me! XD I originally couldn’t wake them all up, just by shaking them and calling their names. So I brought out my secret weapon. I opened all the guest bedroom doors, and made sure the scent of bacon went everywhere as I cooked. In a matter of 15 minutes, everyone was awake and in my Kitchen. My sinister plan worked. Muhahaha.
We spent the rest of the day just hanging out, playing Wii, and getting sober. I think the After Party officially ended around 2 in the afternoon. I don’t remember, because, my Bacon Wrapped Shrimp Wreck Mary’s were delicious, and strong.
Happy Eating and Drinking!
