"Essentially, this is an entry to a contest held by the intensely creative Coffinberry. One of my characters are to fight or compete with one of hers. Simple as that! ^_^"

"Lauren is sent to rendezvous with a contact named Eve. Things at first go well, relatively. However, as Lauren had exchanged her cash envelope for a folder of evidence as promised, Eve threw a punch at the face and darted off with the envelope. Lauren pursued her toward the room at the end of the long, underground corridor. Upon reaching its doorway, she was greeted with Eve assaulting back, this time with a pair of sickles. One was large for broad circlular sweeps, the other smaller for defensive combat. Unarmed and regretful for it, Lauren clearly was at a disadvantage, so for a while she evaded Eve with all her running strength as she searched for objects possible for defense. Luckily, she found herself in a nearby room lined with a collection of deadly martial arts weapons ranging from swords to spears. So this is the armory! As Eve caught up and renewed her attack, Lauren struck back with a katana and inflicted a light cut on the arm. The fight began in earnest, but Lauren concentrated on finding her way out of this complex, scarcely minding the cash or evidence to be obtained. Assaults and counter-assaults engaged furiously, with both recieving increasingly deeper wounds. Then, Lauren made a thrust that sliced Eve's smaller sickle off her hand. Reactingly, Eve's other sickle somehow slipped Lauren's katana from her determind grip. A brief pause to locate her weapon proved very costly to Lauren, as she was struck along the wrist and kicked to the floor."
