Unfortunately this is the only good photo from the event today with me actually smiling in it. ^^;
I was far too busy to get pictures myself (got a few less then satisfactory ones with my phone in the early morning). My dad was the photographer for the whole event, not just my booth. So I had try and get him to get at least one pic. Luckily, at least one of them came out the way I had hoped for the most part. Wished that more of the booth itself was visible...I was kind of proud of how I had set everything up. (might upload the ones of the early morning to give an idea on how I set it up.)
I'm in the blue tshirt with the apron (my money apron to keep my cash on me at all times.) I'm standing here with my grandmother who came by to wish me luck and check out my first display. She was very kind and helped out quite a bit, stayed with me for a few hours especially since later in the day, traffic was more then what little ol me could keep up with! I'm only one person and when I had four people at once coming at me with questions, it was a little daunting ^^; Grandma was there to save the day! lol.
I came home with about 80-90% of my inventory, much to my dismay. I didn't sell nearly as much as I had hoped for. Not even close. :/ but at least I made -some- money so it wasn't a total waste I guess. I'll hold the rest of the inventory until mid-October when Riley Days comes up. Four day long festival, 12 hour days. I could barely handle a one day 7 hour festival. Even now I am ready to just crash and go to bed.
-pulls on big girl pants- BRING IT, RILEY DAYS!

Aww, it always sucks to come home with inventory, no matter how much you bring back.
But at least you got to interact with people, getting them to see and handle your stuff. Plus more people are going to start talking about your company too! Exposure is a wonderful thing! c:
At my first convention, I came home with about 60% of my inventory. I mostly sold commissions, to my surprise!

I thought for sure you would have sold more, but you can never tell. Depending on the show, some people only bring money for food, or they just don't want to buy. Especially right now, with school back in... everybody's money is flying out the window. But don't let it discourage you. Just getting your name out there is worth the trip!
