A drunken rendering of a request I received on tumblr, to design a hairless sphinx. Modeled after the ones in my headworld. This is Io, matriarch of her clan despite her unfortunate fate and propensity to sunburns. She fights dirty.

Is Rooc yours? I don't think I've ever seen another. I dig the design, though :q It reminds me of Patricia Piccinini's freaky human/animal sculptures.

I do have a sphynx sphinx character, yeah! He's over here but I love the way you made yours' wings all meaty-like and I can't get over her face. I love it!

Piccinini's artwork is amazing, I didn't know she was the one who did the human-dog sculpture o_o

Oh I missed that one, awesome! I love the inclusion of the spots/piebald patches.

Yesss, her work is so fabulously creepy and interesting. My favorite is the grandma manatee creature laying in the little boy's lap.

They are unique critters that don't show up often on FA. It's great to see others around!
