I was trying my (at the time) new tablet with this one. Aaaaah, the memories. Now that tablet only serves as a mouserug. Yeah.
As for Sanji, well, he's the sole reason I watched One Piece. At the time, I was basically discovering anime. I had watched all of Naruto and Bleach and FMA. One Piece seemed to be ther "other" important ultra-long anime out there but the artstyle repulsed me more than it attracted me. Eventually, i saw a thumbnail of Sanji and thought : "hum. Maybe it's not that ugly."
Turns out One Piece became one of my favourite manga ever, of not my favourite, and its artstyle is now a huge part of mine too...

I have to agree with your statement above, I initially was turned off by the art style of One Piece, but then I gave it a chance one day... And I just straight up loved it story wise and the style grew on me quickly. I like Law and Zoro the best at the moment as far as characters go. Though Brook is pretty amazing too.
