Funny story behind this particular piece... I was sitting at home, trying to think about how I would go about finding a reference to a hand that I needed for something that I am attempting to draw. Well, I couldn't find what I needed anywhere, not online, or in books. Not anywhere. I was getting really fed up with it, and about to just set the dang thing aside and start on something else, when it hit me.

Why didn't I just use a mirror and use my own hand as a model?
Well, here is why...
I had gotten about halfway through the hand, and was still going strong, when I looked at the mirror, then at the paper and back to the mirror. I don't know how long I sat there, staring at my hand in the mirror, or how long I was muttering under my breath, (Un-be-knownst to me) but I had realized I was trying to draw a left hand the entire time, but the mirror was turning it into a right hand.

I eventually said 'screw it' and finished what I had started, scanned it onto the computer, cleaned it up, and flipped it over to make it a left hand. It worked alright, but there is part of the picture that was distorted, you know, the fingers have a line through them...

As you may have guessed, the orb was partially added in after it was put on the computer.
